- Ground the following PCM terminals using a jumper wire.
- With immobilizer system: 1AR
- Without immobilizer system: 1AQ
- Remove the fuel-filler cap.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position to start the fuel pump.
- Verify that operation sound is heard from the fuel pump when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.
- If the operation sound cannot be verified, measure the voltage at fuel pump wiring harness-side connector terminal A.
- If as specified, inspect the following:
- Fuel pump continuity
- If not within the specification, inspect the following:
- Fuel pump relay
- Wiring harnesses and connectors between main relay, fuel pump relay and fuel pump
- If as specified, inspect the following:
- Standard B+ (Ignition switch at ON)Β
- If the operation sound cannot be verified, measure the voltage at fuel pump wiring harness-side connector terminal A.
