- Disconnect battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (LE5) or Drive Belt Replacement (LAT) .
- Disconnect the generator electrical connector (3).
- Reposition the generator terminal protective boot (3).
- Remove the generator terminal nut (2).
- Remove the engine harness terminal (1) from the generator.
- Remove the generator bolts.
- Remove the generator from the vehicle.
