Shift Cable (Console Shift): Installation
2006 Chevrolet Suburban C2500, 6.0 USECTION Installation

- Install the shift cable through the cowl panel and seat the grommet. See Figure . Slide the shift cable (1) fully into the console until it snaps into place. See Figure . Connect the shift cable terminal to the shift lever pin.
- Install the console trim plate. See appropriate SHIFT INTERLOCK SYSTEMS article. Install the left console trim panel.
- Insert the shift cable into the bracket. See Figure . Connect the shift cable terminal to the transaxle manual shift lever pin.
- Insert the retainer to the shift cable mechanism. See Figure . Adjust the shift cable. See SHIFT CABLE under ADJUSTMENTS.
