- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the turn signal/multifunction switch.
- Ignition OFF, verify that a test lamp illuminates between B+ and the appropriate ground circuit terminal listed below.
- Ground terminal A - with MH2
- Ground terminal G - without MH2
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, verify the scan tool Flash to Pass Switch parameter is Inactive.
- If not the specified value, test the appropriate signal circuit terminal listed below for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
- Signal terminal C - with LE5 and MH2
- Signal terminal J - without LE5 and MH2
- If not the specified value, test the appropriate signal circuit terminal listed below for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
- Verify the scan tool High Beam Select Switch parameter is Inactive.
- If not the specified value, test the appropriate signal circuit terminal listed below for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
- Signal terminal B - with LE5 and MH2
- Signal terminal H - without LE5 and MH2
- If not the specified value, test the appropriate signal circuit terminal listed below for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
- Install a 3A fused jumper wire between the appropriate signal circuit terminal listed below and ground. Verify the scan tool Flash to Pass Switch parameter is Active.
- Signal terminal C - with LE5 and MH2
- Signal terminal J - without LE5 and MH2
- If not the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
