Scan Tool Data Parameters
| Parameter | Expected Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Operating Conditions:Β Engine Idling/Radiator Hose Hot/Closed Throttle/Park or Neutral/Closed Loop/Accessories OFF, unless otherwise noted. | ||
| APM Wakeup Status | Yes | This parameter displays the status of the discrete APM Wakeup line that is driven by the SDGM. The parameter display range is Yes, No. |
| Instantaneous Drive Efficiency | Varies | This parameter displays a value calculated by the SDGM to control the driver efficiency gauge on the cluster. It gives directional feedback to the driver as to whether their driving style is moving towards or away from the desired efficiency. 0 is considered efficient driving. This parameter only works when the engine is running. The parameter display range is -100% to 100%. |
| Hybrid Mode Status | Varies | This parameter displays the actual operating condition determined by the HCP and stored by the SDGM to supply hybrid driver information to the Navigation Radio. The parameter display range is Accessory, Idle, Auto Stop, Battery 2WD, Battery 4WD, Hybrid 2WD, Hybrid 4WD, Engine 2WD, Engine 4WD, Charging 2WD, Charging 4WD. |
| Hybrid Crash Sensor 1 | No Crash | This parameter displays the condition being reported by the front end High Voltage Circuit Impact Detection sensor. The parameter display range is No Crash, Crash Detected, Unavailable, Sensing Failed. |
| Hybrid Crash Status | No Crash | This parameter displays the latched condition of the SDGM in the event a crash has occurred. The parameter display range is No Crash, Crash Detected. |
| Hybrid Batt Cooling Fan Command | Varies | This parameter displays the Hybrid Battery Cooling Fan speed desired by the SDGM as a percentage of full speed to help limit noise. This value is calculated based on vehicle speed and actual fan speed may be overridden by the BECM. The parameter display range is 0-100%. |
Serial Data Gateway Module (SDGM) Scan Tool Output Controls
| Output Control | Description |
|---|---|
| Crash Sensing Detected EEPROM Reset Control | The SDGM latches a Crash Event when reported by the HVCID. This data is also reported to the HCP in order to keep contactors from being closed until all high voltage components have been inspected for integrity. This control will clear a Crash Event stored in the SDGM as the Hybrid Crash Status. |

Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
- β’ You smell fuel, burning insulation, or see smoke.
- β’ Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- β’ The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- β’ You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
- β’ You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
