Installation Procedure

2006 Chevrolet Suburban C2500, 6.0 USECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the steering knuckle to the lower ball joint stud.
  2. Fig 1: Lower Ball Joint Retaining Nut

  3. Install a new lower ball joint retaining nut.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  5. Tighten the nut in the following order:

    Tighten:Β 

    1. Tighten the nut to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
    2. Tighten the nut to an additional 210 degree turn.

  7. Install the upper control arm to steering knuckle.
  8. Install the upper control arm to steering knuckle pinch bolt and nut.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nut to 60 N.m (44 lb ft).
