Removal Procedure
2006 Chevrolet Suburban C2500, 6.0 USECTION Removal Procedure
- Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (Single Tank) or Fuel Tank Replacement (Dual Tanks - Front) or Fuel Tank Replacement (Dual Tanks - Rear) or Fuel Tank Replacement (Single Tank w/5.3L (L59) Engine) .
- Disconnect the fuel lines from the sending unit, if necessary. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
- Using J 44402 , remove the sending unit lock ring. See Special Tools .
- Remove the lock ring, sending unit, and rubber seal. Discard the seal.
- Clean the sending unit sealing surfaces.
