2006 Chevrolet Suburban C1500, 5.3 ZSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct ReplacementΒ .
  2. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler tube. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Cooler Tube ReplacementΒ .
  3. Disconnect the fuel rail pressure sensor electrical connector.

  5. Prior to removal, clean the fuel pressure sensor and surrounding area thoroughly with solvent, such as GM P/N 12377981 (Canadian P/N 10953463) or equivalent.
  6. Using compressed air, thoroughly blow dry the sensor and surrounding area.
  7. Remove the fuel pressure sensor (1).
