  1. Ignition ON observe the scan tool Liftgate Handle Sw. parameter while using the liftgate handle switch, the parameter should change from Inactive to Active.
    • If the value does not change, refer to Liftgate Handle Switch Malfunction below.
  2. Command the liftgate to release by using the liftgate handle switch, the liftgate latch assembly should release the liftgate.
    • If the liftgate latch assembly does not release the liftgate, refer to Liftgate Latch Malfunction below.
