Removal Procedure

2006 Chevrolet Suburban C1500, 5.3 ZSECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front seats. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket in Seats.
  2. Remove the rear seats. Refer to Seat Replacement - Rear No. 1 (60/40 Split) or Seat Replacement - Rear No. 1 (Bucket) in Seats.
  3. Remove the front center seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Center in Seats.
  4. Remove the floor center console, if equipped. Refer to Console Replacement (w/Console Mounting Bracket) or Console Replacement (w/o Console Mounting Bracket) in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  5. Remove the lower bracket from the I/P to the floor to allow carpet removal.
  6. Remove the door sill trim plates. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - FrontΒ  and Door Sill Plate Replacement - RearΒ .
  7. Remove the hinge pillar trim panels from both sides. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Hinge PillarΒ .
  8. Remove the garnish molding center pillar trim. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Center PillarΒ .

  10. Remove the carpet.
