Removal Procedure

2006 Chevrolet Suburban C1500, 5.3 ZSECTION Removal Procedure
    CAUTION: Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT CAUTION in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cables.
  2. Fig 1: Knee Bolster & Bolts

  3. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  4. Fig 2: Harness Connectors

  5. Disconnect the brown connector.
  6. Disconnect all other connectors (1).
  7. Remove the body control module (BCM) from the sliding bracket.
