2006 Chevrolet SSR AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure
    CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 8Β .
  2. Remove the floor console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  3. Fig 1: Identifying Connection Position Assurance

  4. Remove the 3 fasteners to the sensing and diagnostic module (SDM).
  5. Remove the connection position assurance (CPA) (1) from the SDM.

  7. Rotate the locking arm (1) to release the electrical connector from the SDM.
  8. Disconnect the electrical connection from the SDM.
  9. Remove the SDM from the vehicle.
