Removal Procedure

- Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the rear battery cover bolts and cover.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
- Remove the nut on right side frame rail retaining negative battery cable.
- Remove the negative battery cable from vehicle.
