2006 Chevrolet SSR AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure
IMPORTANT: The thermostat is not serviceable separately. The water pump inlet and thermostat must be replaced as an assembly.
  1. Remove the accessary drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory in Engine Mechanical - 6.0L.
  2. Fig 1: View Of Radiator Inlet Hose

  3. Remove the radiator outlet hose.

  5. Remove the water pump inlet bolts.
  6. Remove the water pump inlet and thermostat from the water pump.
