Installation Procedure

2006 Chevrolet SSR AutomaticSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the radiator.
  2. Connect both transmission oil cooler lines to the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Line Quick Connect Fitting in Automatic Transmission - 4L60-E/4L65-E.
  3. Install the vent hose from the radiator.
  4. Use the J 38185Β  to install the lower radiator hose (2) from the radiator. See Special ToolsΒ .
  5. Use the J 38185Β  to install the upper radiator hose (1) from the radiator. See Special ToolsΒ .
  6. Install the condenser. Refer to Condenser Replacement in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  7. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill)Β  or Draining and Filling Cooling System (Vac-N-Fill)Β .
  8. Install the cooling fan assembly. Refer to Cooling Fan Replacement - ElectricΒ .
