Removal Procedure
2006 Chevrolet SSR AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure
- Release the park brake if applied.
- Remove the park brake lever assembly. Refer to Park Brake Lever Assembly Replacement .
- Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the rear propeller shaft. Refer to Propeller Shaft Replacement in Propeller Shaft.
- Remove the left rear park brake cable from the front cable. Refer to Park Brake Cable Replacement - Left Rear .
- Remove the right rear park brake cable from the front cable. Refer to Park Brake Cable Replacement - Right Rear .
- Install J 37043 (1) on the front park brake cable. See Special Tools .
- Using the J 37043 , remove the front park brake cable from the retaining bracket. See Special Tools .
- Tape the equalizer in a parallel position to the brake cable.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install J 37043 (1) on the front park brake cable. See Special Tools .
- Using the J 37043 (1), remove the front park brake cable. See Special Tools .
- Remove the park brake cable from the retaining bracket.
- Remove the floor seal (1), from the floor panel.
