Removal Procedure
2006 Chevrolet SSR AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure
- Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 2 and to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 6 in SIR.
- Remove the side front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - DoorΒ .
- Remove the front door speaker. Refer to Speaker Replacement - Front Lower and to Speaker Replacement - Front Upper in Entertainment.
- Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front DoorΒ .
- Disconnect the regulator motor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the door latch assembly electrical connector.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the SIR side impact sensor.
- Remove the hinge pillar trim. Refer to Trim Replacement - Hinge Pillar in Interior Trim.
- Disconnect the body harness inline electrical connectors by releasing the connector retaining tab located on the body side of the connectors.
- Remove the rubber grommet from the door access opening.
- Note the routing of the front door wiring harness and release the wire harness attachments from the door.
- Pass the front door wiring harness electrical connector through the access opening and remove the front door wiring harness from the door.
