Removal Procedure

2006 Chevrolet SSR AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure
    IMPORTANT: In order to minimize door realignment, do not remove both hinges at the same time. Replace the broken door hinge first.
  1. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  2. Remove the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Front in Body Front End.
  3. Remove the front fender. Refer to Fender Replacement - Front in Body Front End.

  5. Mark the location of the door hinge on the door and on the hinge pillar.
  6. Support the door.

  8. Remove the bolts securing the door hinge to the hinge pillar.

  10. Remove the bolts securing the door hinge to the door.
  11. Remove the door hinge.
