Removal Procedure

2006 Chevrolet SSR AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front seat assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Seat ReplacementΒ .
  2. Remove the front finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - FrontΒ .
  3. Remove the seat cushion outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel ReplacementΒ .
  4. Remove the seat switch bezel. Refer to Seat Switch Bezel ReplacementΒ .

  6. Remove the J-Strip (1) securing the rear of the seat cushion cover to the frame.

  8. Remove the push pins (2) securing the seat cover to the frame.

  10. Remove the seat belt buckle bolt (2).
  11. Disconnect the black electrical connector from the seat belt buckle.
  12. Pull the seat belt buckle harness back through the hole in the seat adjuster assembly.
  13. Remove the seat belt buckle assembly by pulling it out through the slot in the seat cushion cover.

  15. Remove the push pins (1) securing the seat cushion cover on each side of the seat cushion frame.

  17. Release the front J-strip (1).
  18. Disconnect the seat cushion heater electrical connector, if equipped.
  19. Remove the seat cushion cover and pad from the seat cushion frame.

  21. Remove the hog rings (3) securing the cover (1) to the pad (4).
  22. Remove the seat cover from the seat pad.

  24. Remove the heater element (1) by peeling the element off the pad (2).
  25. Pull the heater element electrical harness through the hole (3) in the pad.
