Removal Procedure
2006 Chevrolet SSR AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure
- Remove the front seat assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Seat ReplacementΒ .
- Remove the front finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - FrontΒ .
- Remove the seat cushion outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel ReplacementΒ .
- Remove the seat switch bezel. Refer to Seat Switch Bezel ReplacementΒ .
- Remove the J-Strip (1) securing the rear of the seat cushion cover to the frame.
- Remove the push pins (2) securing the seat cover to the frame.
- Remove the seat belt buckle bolt (2).
- Disconnect the black electrical connector from the seat belt buckle.
- Pull the seat belt buckle harness back through the hole in the seat adjuster assembly.
- Remove the seat belt buckle assembly by pulling it out through the slot in the seat cushion cover.
- Remove the push pins (1) securing the seat cushion cover on each side of the seat cushion frame.
- Release the front J-strip (1).
- Disconnect the seat cushion heater electrical connector, if equipped.
- Remove the seat cushion cover and pad from the seat cushion frame.
- Remove the hog rings (3) securing the cover (1) to the pad (4).
- Remove the seat cover from the seat pad.
- Remove the heater element (1) by peeling the element off the pad (2).
- Pull the heater element electrical harness through the hole (3) in the pad.
