Removal Procedure
2006 Chevrolet SSR AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure
- Remove the front seat assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Seat ReplacementΒ .
- Remove the front finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - FrontΒ .
- Remove the seat cushion outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel ReplacementΒ .
- Remove the seat switch bezel. Refer to Seat Switch Bezel ReplacementΒ .
- Remove the seat adjuster cable (1) from the seat adjuster.
- Remove the cable end from the seat adjuster (2) by removing the ball though the round opening.
- Repeat steps 5 and 6 to remove the cable from the opposite side of the seat.
- Remove the push pins (1) securing the seat cushion cover on each side of the seat cushion frame.
- Release the front J-strip (1).
- Remove the seat cushion cover and pad from the front of the seat cushion frame enough to expose the front seat cushion frame mounting nuts.
- Loosen the seat cushion frame mounting nuts to raise the frame enough to slide the cable out from between the seat cushion frame and the seat adjuster.
