Removal Procedure

2006 Chevrolet SSR AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front seat assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Seat ReplacementΒ .
  2. Remove the front finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - FrontΒ .
  3. Remove the seat cushion outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel ReplacementΒ .
  4. Remove the seat switch bezel. Refer to Seat Switch Bezel ReplacementΒ .

  6. Remove the seat adjuster cable (1) from the seat adjuster.
  7. Remove the cable end from the seat adjuster (2) by removing the ball though the round opening.
  8. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to remove the cable from the opposite side of the seat.

  10. Remove the push pins (1) securing the seat cushion cover on each side of the seat cushion frame.

  12. Release the front J-strip (1).
  13. Remove the seat cushion cover and pad from the front of the seat cushion frame enough to expose the front seat cushion frame mounting nuts.

  15. Loosen the seat cushion frame mounting nuts to raise the frame enough to slide the cable out from between the seat cushion frame and the seat adjuster.
