2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS, 4D Sedan, StandardSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Inspect the throttle body gasket (3) and replace if necessary.
  2. Fig 1: Identifying Throttle Body

  3. Install the throttle body (4) to the intake manifold.
  4. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the throttle body attaching bolts (1).

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the throttle body attaching bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  6. Connect the vacuum hoses to the throttle body.

  8. Connect the TP sensor harness connector (2).
  9. Connect the IAC valve harness connector (1).
  10. Install the air cleaner resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator ReplacementΒ .
  11. Test the accelerator movement by depressing the pedal to the floor and releasing the pedal.
