  1. Remove the starter. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement (RPOs L61/LE5) or Starter Motor Replacement (RPO LSJ) in Engine Electrical.
  2. Fig 1: View of Knock Sensor

  3. Disconnect the knock sensor (KS) harness connector.
  4. Remove the KS retaining bolt.
  5. Remove the KS.
