- Remove the front wheel.
- Remove the splash shields.
- Loosen the water pump pulley mounting bolts.
- Remove the drive belt (see DRIVE BELT INSPECTIONΒ ).
- Remove the water pump pulley.
- Turn the water pump counterclockwise. Check that it turns freely. If it does not turn smoothly, replace the water pump (see WATER PUMP REPLACEMENTΒ
).NOTE: When you check the water pump, you may see a small amount of "weeping" from the bleed holes (A). This is normal.
