IMA Motor Housing Removal/Installation

2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS, 4D Sedan, StandardSECTION IMA Motor Housing Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the IMA motor rotor (see IMA MOTOR ROTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONΒ  ).
  2. Remove the connector (A) and the bracket (B).

  3. Remove the bolt (C) and the IMA motor housing (D).
    NOTE: Set the dowel pins (E) in the IMA motor housing before installing the motor stator on the engine.
  4. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
  5. Install the IMA motor rotor (see IMA MOTOR ROTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONΒ  ).
  6. Do the motor rotor position calibration procedure (see IMA MOTOR ROTOR POSITION CALIBRATIONΒ  ).
