Preliminary Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the wheel bearing and hub assembly. Refer to Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement (L61/LE5)Β  or Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement (LSJ)Β .
  3. Remove the outer tie rod end from the knuckle. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement .
  4. Remove the lower control arm from the knuckle. Refer to Lower Control Arm ReplacementΒ .
1 Bolt (Qty: 2)
2 Nut (Qty: 2)
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:Β  120 N.m (89 lb ft)

3 Steering Knuckle
Tip:Β  Check the wheel alignment. Refer to Wheel Alignment Measurement .
