- Using a scan tool, retrieve the percentage of remaining engine oil. Record the remaining engine oil life.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Remove the engine control module (ECM) cover.
- Disconnect the body wiring harness electrical connector (3) from the ECM.
- Disconnect the engine harness electrical connectors (2) from the ECM.
