Wiper Arm Replacement

Fastener Tightening Specifications:  Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .Preliminary Procedure: Remove the wiper arm blades. Refer to Wiper Arm Blade Replacement (Impala) .
1 Cap, Windshield Washer Transmission Nut
Tip:  Use a small flat-bladed tool to remove the transmission cap.
2 Nut, Windshield Washer Transmission Support
Tip:  Hold the wiper arm blade tip to the target points in the lower blackout area of the windshield while tightening the nut.

Tighten:  32 N.m (24 lb ft).

3 Arm Assembly, Windshield Washer
Tip:  Use a J 39637  or slightly rock the arm on the wiper pivot shaft to remove. See Special Tools .
