2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS, 4D Sedan, StandardSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the caliper bracket to the steering knuckle.
  2. Coat the caliper bracket bolts (1) with 272 Threadlocker, GM P/N 12345493 or equivalent.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the new caliper bracket bolts (1).

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the caliper bracket bolts (1) to 95 N.m (70 lb ft).

  5. Install the brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement - FrontΒ .
  6. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
