Installation Procedure (New Switch)

  1. Make sure the transaxle manual shaft is in the Neutral position.
  2. Align the flats on the transaxle shift shaft with the flats on the transaxle range switch and install the switch.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Tighten the transaxle range switch bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the range switch bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  5. Install the transaxle range switch lever and nut.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the transaxle range switch lever retaining nut to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
