Removal Procedure

2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS, 4D Sedan, StandardSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front BucketΒ .
  2. Remove the inner recliner finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Inner)Β  or Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Outer)Β .
  3. Remove the outer finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Inner)Β  or Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Outer)Β .

  5. Remove the recliner fasteners.
  6. Remove the seat back assembly.

  8. Remove the seat cover J-strip from the seat frame at the back of the cushion.

  10. If the vehicle is equipped with a heated seat, disconnect the heated seat wiring connector from the seat frame harness.

  12. Remove the fasteners and remove the seat cushion frame from the seat adjuster.
  13. Untie the drawstring from the seat cushion frame and remove the frame from the cover and pad.
