2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS, 4D Sedan, StandardSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the wheel bearing/hub assembly to the steering knuckle.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the wheel bearing/hub mounting bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts to 130 N.m (96 lb ft).

  5. Install the wheel drive shaft spindle nut.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nut to 205 N.m (151 lb ft).

  7. Install the wheel speed sensor electrical connector to the mounting bracket, if equipped.

  9. Connect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.

  11. Install the front brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.
