  1. Program the VIN information to the BCM.
  2. Turn the ignition OFF, wait several seconds and then turn the ignition ON.
  3. Retrieve DTCs from the BCM. DTC B1016 should change to a history DTC.
    • If this DTC is retrieved as a current DTC, replace the module that set the DTC.
