Intake Plenum Installation

2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS, 4D Sedan, StandardSECTION Intake Plenum Installation

  1. Install the throttle body gasket to the plenum.
  2. Install the throttle body to the plenum.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the throttle body nuts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the throttle body nuts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  6. Install the rear manifold runner only. Route the crankcase hoses and install the throttle body heater hoses.

  8. Install the intake manifold plenum and install the intake plenum bolts.
  9. Install the plenum bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the intake plenum bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  11. Install the front manifold runner and tighten the clamps.
  12. Install the front manifold runner bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the intake manifold runner bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
