Sunroof Motor/Actuator Replacement

If the sunroof motor/actuator is replaced, the initialization procedure must be performed in the following order:

  1. Place the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Press and hold the sunroof switch to the CLOSE position until the glass panel stalls at the hard stop position and moves back to the soft stop position.
  3. Release the sunroof switch.
  4. Verify sunroof operation. Refer to Sunroof Description and Operation (1 Connector System) in Roof.

The programming procedure is not complete if one of the following actions occurs before the procedure is complete:

  • The sunroof switch is not held in the CLOSE position.
  • The ignition switch is turned to the OFF position.
  • Battery positive voltage is removed.
  • The glass panel did not reach the fully closed position.
