Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disable the supplementary inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 6Β .
  2. Remove the garnish molding windshield. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Windshield Pillar .
  3. Remove the upper center pillar trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Upper Center Pillar .
  4. Remove the upper rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Lower .
  5. Remove the rear quarter window shelf. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf .
  6. Remove the headliner assembly. Refer to Headliner Replacement .
1 Bolts, Restraint Roof Rail Module (Qty: 7)

Tighten:Β  10 N.m (89 lb in)

2 Connector, Restraint Roof Rail Module
3 Module, Inflatable Roof Rail
Tip:Β  If the air bag had a DTC and must be returned for warranty, refer to Inflator Module Handling and ScrappingΒ .
