- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
- Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement (L61) or Battery Tray Replacement (L66) .
- Remove the negative battery cable nut from the right frame rail.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable from the transmission bracket (1).
- Disconnect the negative battery cable from the retainers.
- Remove the negative battery cable.
