2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS, 4D Sedan, StandardSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect ProcedureΒ .

  2. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement (L61)Β  or Battery Tray Replacement (L66)Β .
  3. Remove the negative battery cable nut from the right frame rail.
  4. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the transmission bracket (1).

  5. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the retainers.
  6. Remove the negative battery cable.
