Relief Procedure

2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS, 4D Sedan, StandardSECTION Relief Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
  2. Connect the J 34730-1AΒ  to the fuel pressure connection. See Special ToolsΒ . Refer to Fuel Pressure Gage Installation and RemovalΒ .

  3. Install the bleed hose into an approved container and open the valve to bleed the system pressure. The fuel connections are now safe for servicing.
  4. Disconnect the fuel pressure gage from the fuel pressure connection. Refer to Fuel Pressure Gage Installation and RemovalΒ .
