2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS, 4D Sedan, StandardSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Slide the bracket onto the column.
  2. Hand tighten the lower bolt until snug.
  3. Hand tighten the upper bolt until snug.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Tighten the lower bolt.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  6. Tighten the upper bolt.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  8. Connect the ignition housing electrical connectors.
