Removal Procedure

2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS, 4D Sedan, StandardSECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  2. Fig 1: Identifying Exhaust Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Electrical Connector

  3. Disconnect the exhaust camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector (1).
  4. Remove the CMP sensor bolt. Intake CMP shown, exhaust CMP similar.

  6. Remove the CMP sensor.
