  1. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct ReplacementΒ .
  3. Release the air cleaner latches.

  5. Separate the upper and lower portions of the air cleaner assembly.
  6. Remove the air cleaner filter from the lower air cleaner housing.
  7. Inspect the air cleaner filter for dust, dirt, and water contamination.
