NOTE:
Use care when handling the coolant sensor. Damage to the coolant sensor will affect the operation of the fuel control system.
- Turn OFF the ignition.
- Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
- Drain the coolant below the level of the ECT sensor. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (Vac N Fill) in Engine Cooling.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Carefully remove the ECT sensor.
