- Engine ON, cruise control switch ON, verify that the Cruise On/Off Switch parameter reads On.
- If the scan tool parameter reads Off, test the cruise control on switch signal circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the turn signal/multifunction switch.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the turn signal multifunction switch.
- Engine ON, verify that the Cruise Set/Coast Switch parameter reads Off.
- If the scan tool parameter reads On, test the cruise control set/coast switch signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ECM.
- Engine ON, verify that the Cruise Resume/Accel. Switch parameter reads Off.
- If the scan tool parameter reads On, test the cruise resume/accel switch signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ECM.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the turn signal/multifunction switch.
