Installation Procedure

- Install the rear power steering pump bracket (2) to the pump (3).
- Install the power steering pump rear bracket nuts (1) to the pump studs.
Tighten:Β Tighten the nuts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
- Position the power steering pump (2) to the vehicle.
- Position the front power steering pump bracket (2) to the pump.
- Install the power steering pump bracket bolts (1) to the bracket and pump.
Tighten:Β Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
- Raise the vehicle.
- Install the power steering pump rear bracket bolts (1) to the bracket.
Tighten:Β Tighten the bolts to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).
- Install the power brake booster inlet hose (2) to the power steering pump through the wheel well.
Tighten:Β Tighten the hose fitting to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).
- Install the power steering gear outlet hose or cooler hose to the power steering pump through the wheel well.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the reservoir outlet hose to the power steering pump through the wheel well.
- Install the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Pulley ReplacementΒ .
- Bleed the system. Refer to Power Steering System BleedingΒ .
- Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.

Route the power steering hoses in the same location in which they were removed.
