2006 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 2SECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the starter motor.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the starter motor bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts to 78 N.m (58 lb ft).

  5. Install the positive battery cable lead (8) to the starter.
  6. Install the positive battery cable nut (7).

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  8. Install the engine wiring harness lead (1) to the starter.
  9. Install the engine wiring harness nut (4).

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nut to 3.4 N.m (30 lb in).

  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and ConnectionΒ .
