2006 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 2SECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the battery into the battery carrier.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the battery hold-down retainer and bolt.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Connect the battery positive cable and the positive battery cable terminal to the battery. Refer to Battery Positive Cable Replacement (4.3L)Β  or Battery Positive Cable Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L)Β  or Battery Positive Cable Replacement (Auxiliary 6.6L)Β  or Battery Positive Cable Replacement (Primary 6.6L)Β .
  6. Connect the battery negative cable and the negative battery cable terminal to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and ConnectionΒ .
  7. Install the coolant recovery reservoir.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the reservoir bolt to 11 N.m (97 lb in).
