2006 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 2SECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the liftgate latch.
  4. Disconnect the outside handle rod from the crank's clamshell-style clip.
  5. Remove the crank bolts.
  6. Remove the crank by sliding the latch to crank rod out of the crank.
  7. Remove the lock cylinder. Refer to Liftgate Lock Cylinder ReplacementΒ .

  9. Remove the latch bolts.
  10. Remove the latch from the liftgate.

  12. Remove the latch to crank rod and lock cylinder rod from the latch.
