- Fully open the door.
- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door .
- Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door .
- Remove the body-side check link pillar bolt.
- Remove the check strap plug.
- Remove the door-side check strap nuts.
- Pull the check strap from the inside of the door.
