2006 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Cargo, 6.6 2SECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE (SINGLE BATTERY) or BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE (AUXILIARY BATTERY) .
  2. Lift up the left outboard cowl vent grille trim piece in order to release the clips to the left outboard cowl vent grille trim piece.
  3. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood ReplacementΒ Β  .Β 
  4. Remove the left hood spring assembly. Refer to Hood Link ReplacementΒ Β  .Β

  5. Remove the left fender to cowl support brace.

  6. Remove the wheelhouse panel bracket.
  7. Remove the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY TRAY REPLACEMENT .

  8. Disconnect the hood latch release cable from the clips.

  9. Disconnect the windshield washer hose from the clips on the fender.
  10. Remove the underhood electrical center. Refer to UNDERHOOD ELECTRICAL CENTER OR JUNCTION BLOCK REPLACEMENT .

  11. Remove the push-in retainers (2) in order to detach the wheelhouse panel (1) from the fender (3).

  12. Remove the fender to upper cowl bracket bolt.
  13. Open the door.

  14. Remove the fender to door hinge bolts.

  15. Release the left front grille clip from the fender.

  16. Remove the fender to radiator support bolts and retainer.

  17. Remove the rear lower fender bolt.
  18. Remove the left fender from the vehicle.
