- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) in Engine Electrical.
- Remove the wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
- Remove the glow plug nuts from the desired glow plug(s).
- Remove the harness from the desired glow plug(s) (1).
- Remove the harness from the desired glow plug(s).IMPORTANT: On the Federal Emissions equipped vehicle, there is a buss bar connecting the glow plugs on each bank of the engine.
- Remove the desired glow plug(s).
