Rear Bumper Removal/Installation: Notes

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the trunk end trim. (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the fasteners and slightly bend back the trunk side trim (RH).
- Remove the fasteners and slightly bend back the trim (LH). (4 door)
- Remove the service hole cover (LH). (5 door)
- Remove the rear combination light. (See REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the license plate light connector.
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.REMOVAL ORDER OF REAR BUMPER
Removal Order Part 1 Screw A 2 Fastener A 3 Fastener B 4 Fastener C 5 Bolt 6 Screw B 7 Rear bumper (See Rear Bumper Removal NoteΒ .) (See Rear Bumper Installation NoteΒ .) 8 Reflector (See Reflector Removal NoteΒ .) - Install in the reverse order of removal.
